报告内容:
One of the biggest challenges with electrical grids using large amounts of renewable energy is the intermittent nature of the power. This often leads to 'feast or famine' situations thereby necessitating advanced energy storage technology. An alternative method is to use any excess energy is in the manufacture of chemicals. Examples include the ammonia production or synthetic methane. This talk will demonstrate the potential for using excess energy for the reforming of bio-gas mixtures. Furthermore it will demonstrate how understanding the catalytic cycle can allow for greater methane utilisation.
